Conservation Process Model

CPM- Conservation Process Model is an ontology harmonized with CIDOC CRM and its extentions (CRMinf, CRMsci), developed to represent the knowledge required to fully understand, analyze and interpret architectural heritage and provide support to conservation processes, organizing information into the domain of risk assessment. Building on this semantic framework, HD-LSD (Heritage and Diagnostics Linked Semantic Data) was developed as an ontology-based platform for the integrated management, consultation, and querying of RDF data related to cultural heritage and its associated diagnostics. Developed within Fondazione CHANGES (PNRR extended partnership, PI Donatella Fiorani) through the interdisciplinary collaboration of four Sapienza departments (History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture, Ancient Studies, Earth Sciences, Environmental Biology), HD-LSD addresses the need to harmonize heterogeneous data produced by different disciplines, tools, and scales of analysis, following a "from field to lab" approach oriented toward sustainable, non-invasive, and interoperable diagnostics.
