Hello all,
For the Plovdiv meeting the topic of discussion for LRMoo is the modelling of series.
Maja, Trond and I have prepared this presentation (read first), and then for more details see the document.
We welcome your comments in advance, either on the list or as comments in the document.
Thanks,
Pat
In the 59th joint meeting of the CIDOC CRM and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 & 52nd FRBR/LRMoo SIG, Pat gave an outline of the issue (mainly a proposal to introduce a new modeling construct in LRMoo that will serve as a link to PRESSoo and will substitute the current link to it through F18 Serial Work, which will subsequently be deprecated).
For the details of the proposal and the ensuing discussion, see here (also check the slide deck of her presentation)
Decision:
The proposal is not complete yet, its purpose was to get the SIG’s feedback on the usefulness of the concept. The LRMoo group will revise and come back with a definitive proposal at the next SIG meeting
Plovdiv, September 2024
In the 61st joint meeting of the CIDOC CRM and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 & 54th FRBR/LRMoo SIG, the LRMoo group proposed that PRESSoo can be demoted to "CIDOC CRM Compatible Ontology" (under the new definition --see issue 682).
The discussion is relevant for issue 684 because it repeats the proposal for modeling Serials through LRMoo (see 59 CIDOC CRM SIG/52 FRBR/LRMoo SIG Meeting minutes). For the details of the proposal and the ensuing discussion see here.

Hello everyone,
On behalf of Maja, Trond and myself I am sharing the homework for LRMoo.
You will find the LRMoo v.1.2 draft file (with track-changes) in the directory at: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zR5RWPMZNQiyRjKewqZfeal7MEOcVRO…
(between now and SIG I may add a separate files with some slides)
This homework provides declarations on two topics:
Two properties that refine existing LRMoo properties and are to be used for describing integrating resources. At a recent SIG Trond gave a presentation introducing this topic and the slides are available here: https://cidoc-crm.org/sites/default/files/Applying%20the%20LRM%20model%… (Applying the LRM model to Integrating Resources). See properties R82 and R83 on pages 70-71.
Issue 684 Modelling of Serials in LRMoo. Having discussed this at previous SIGs, this file includes a class (F56 Container, see p.45-46 ), and four properties, R84-87 (see pages 71-73 of the file) for this topic.
We did not, however, work on issue 685 on the path equivalent to R8.
See you next week.
Pat
At the 62nd joint meeting of the CIDOC CRM and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 & 55th FRBR/LRMoo SIG, PR gave an outline of the issue. The slide deck of her presentation can be found here.
The proposal involves:
- Introducing new class F56 Container
- Deprecating F18 Serial and move its examples to the new class
- Introduce new properties:
- R84 has member (is member of)
- R85 has editor (is editor of)
- R86 has responsible agent (is responsible for)
- R87 has related container (is container related to)
There are some to-do’s still:
- Replacing R11 has issuing rule
- Indicating the intended audience for F56 Container
- Indicating the general topic of the articles in the F56 Container
Discussion points:
There is a connection with issue 534 and the HW that CEO and WS have been assigned – to provide an uncontroversial notation for .1 property that appears in a long path being preserved in a shortcut (see R85, R56).
