Observation Reorganization -- S4 Single Observation
We start introducing a new generalization of the former S4 Observation for observing observable situations as S27 Observation, taking over the scope note of S4. We redefine S4 as S4 Single Observation, so that the current properties of S4 stay valid under S4, but as a special one-proposition case of S27 Observation. We connect S27 Observation directly to CRMinf, I1 Argumentation, and no more to E13 Attribute Assignment

In the 60th joint meeting of the CIDOC CRM and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 & 53rd FRBR/LRMoo SIG, the group reviewed the HW by MD & PF on the reorganization of CRMsci Observation (it being recast as a Single Observation). The details of the proposal, some discussion points, and the definitions of the relevant set of classes/properties can be found in the attached document.
Decisions:
The SIG approved:
- the new definition of S4 Single Observation,
- the redrafting of the properties O8, O9, O16,
- the introduction of the new property O37,
- the introduction of the new class S29, and
- the introduction of the property O38.
N.b.: the labels pertaining to S29 and O37 are up for debate.
The scope note of S29 has been flagged for further elaboration.
