In the 46th joint meeting of the CIDOC CRM SIG and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9; 39th FRBR - CIDOC CRM Harmonization meeting and upon resolving the issue 474 new issue appeared concerning a general policy about declaring superproperties to CRM family models' properties. The question is: do we want the extensions to use high level properties from CRMbase or from another CRM extension? What happens if a property from another extension has no general CRM property?
Athens, February 2020
The issue has been closed by decision of the CIDOC CRM Editors, on the grounds that it is no longer relevant: making sure that all classes/properties of family models stand in a subclass/subproperty relation (direct or through inheritance) to CRMbase classes/properties is no longer a concern. Furthermore, establishing dependencies btw family models that do not go through the CIDOC CRM are common practice.
