Dear All,

I believe this scope note:

P115 finishes (is finished by)

Domain:                              E2 Temporal Entity

Range:                  E2 Temporal Entity

Quantification:   many to many (0,n:0,n)

Scope note:         This property allows the ending point for a E2 Temporal Entity to be situated by reference to the ending point of another temporal entity of longer duration.

...is not good!

How can a property "allow" reality to be?
Same for all Allen's relationships

I assume the wording is about what the model (that is the editors of the model)  allows or enables the user to formulate. The perspective is  the instructor's and not an ontological commitment.  This perspective  and the wording Is not good.

In the 34nd joined meeting of the CIDOC CRM SIG and ISO/TC46/SC4/WG9 and the 27th FRBR - CIDOC CRM, it is decided that CEO and MD will find a better formulation

Heraklion, October 2015

In the 35th joined meeting of the CIDOC CRM SIG and   28th FRBR - CIDOC CRM Harmonization meeting, the crm-sig made editorial changes to the property P115 finishes (is finished by). The changes are incorporated to the CIDOC CRM version 6.2.2.

The issue is closed.
